About Lisa
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with neurodivergent individuals and couples, including mixed neurotype relationships.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a molecular biologist, and that background still shapes how I think. I tend to notice patterns quickly and help make things that feel confusing start to make sense.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I care deeply about the people I work with and feel genuinely invested in helping them better understand themselves, feel less alone, and create more sustainable ways of living and relating.
I use an integrative, neurodivergent-affirming approach that includes EMDR, ACT, and Gottman Method, while staying grounded in what is actually helpful in real life.
I’m licensed in California and Texas and offer telehealth therapy for adults and couples.
Approach & Specialized Training
My work is informed by training in EMDR, ACT, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, RO-DBT, and I-CBT, allowing me to support clients with trauma, overcontrol, relationship challenges, obsessive thinking, and nervous system overwhelm in a way that is both structured and flexible.
I also offer ADHD and Autism assessments for adults seeking greater clarity and self-understanding.
My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, relational, and grounded in helping things make sense—not just insightfully, but in ways that are actually usable in daily life.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a molecular biologist, and I continue to bring a pattern-oriented, evidence-based lens to the work I do with clients.
